BTS (방탄소년단) member J-Hope (ˈjē ˌhōp) has donated (ˈdōˌnād, donate ˈdōˌnāt) 200 million KRW to Seoul (sōl) Asan (ˈäsän) Children’s Hospital (ˈhäspidl).
This donation (dōˈnāSH(ə)n) was made in celebration (ˌseləˈbrāSH(ə)n) of his birthday (ˈbərTHˌdā) on February (ˈfeb(y)əˌwerē) 18, and J-Hope expressed (ikˈsprest, express ikˈspres) his intention (inˈten(t)SH(ə)n) to continue (kənˈtinyo͞o) supporting (səˈpôrtiNG, support səˈpôrt) children in need in the future (ˈfyo͞oCHər).
J-Hope stated (ˈstādəd, state stāt), “I want to provide (prəˈvīd) even a small comfort (ˈkəmfərt) to children who are suffering (ˈsəf(ə)riNG, suffer ˈsəfər) at this very moment. I sincerely (sinˈsir(l)ē) hope that they can dream of a healthy (ˈhelTHē) and hopeful (ˈhōpfəl) future.”
He also added (ˈadəd, add ad), “I wanted to give back to ARMY (ˈärmē), who always shower (ˈSHou(ə)r) me with love. Starting (ˈstärtiNG, start stärt) with this year’s birthday, I plan (plan) to continue making annual (ˈanyo͞oəl) donations, which makes this moment even more meaningful (ˈmēniNGfəl).
J-Hope has previously (ˈprēvēəslē) contributed (kənˈtribyo͞od, contribute kənˈtribyo͞ot) to Seoul Asan Hospital in twenty twenty-two, donating 100 million KRW to support those in need.
Seoul Asan Hospital announced (əˈnounst, announce əˈnoun(t)s) that J-Hope’s donation will be used to improve (imˈpro͞ov) medical (ˈmedək(ə)l) facilities (fəˈsilədēz) for pediatric (ˌpēdēˈatrik) and adolescent (ˌad(ə)ˈles(ə)nt) patients (ˈpāSHənts), enhance the hospital environment (inˈvīrənmənt), and support (səˈpôrt) research (ˈrēˌsərCH) on severe (səˈvir) and rare (rer) pediatric diseases (dəˈzēziz).
