CHA Medical Center Pioneers New Era in Infertility Treatment
CHA Medical Center Opens Korea’s First Personalized Infertility Treatment Center in Jamsil
CHA Medical Center has announced the opening of Korea’s first personalized IVM (In Vitro Maturation) research center in Jamsil by the end of September, marking a significant advancement in infertility treatment.
IVM is a cutting-edge technique that involves maturing immature eggs in vitro for implantation, minimizing the need for ovulation-stimulating injections and reducing side effects.
This technology is particularly beneficial for patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), those undergoing cancer treatment who wish to preserve fertility, and patients who have experienced recurrent implantation failure.
Professor Choi Dong-hee, a leading authority in infertility treatment, emphasized that the success rate for maturing immature eggs has increased from 50% to 60-70%, and the pregnancy success rate for in vitro fertilization using immature eggs has also risen to 27-35%.
With the opening of the Jamsil IVM Center, CHA Medical Center aims to further enhance its capabilities in egg and sperm retrieval, fertilization, and embryo culture.
Additionally, CHA Medical Center has established a fertility training center in Pangyo to train both domestic and international researchers, further cementing its leadership in the field of reproductive medicine.
The expert team at the center encourages patients to approach fertility treatment without fear, offering advanced, personalized care to increase success rates and provide comfort throughout the process.
